![]() I also love that the formula is dry, because that means I don’t have to set it with powder! Setting spray is sufficient.Īnd lastly, the highlight stix which is Rum! This is actually called a Shimmer Skinstick. A lot of contour products on the market are too orange/red-toned, so Truffle is great. ![]() First of all, it’s a neutral-toned color which is why it works as a contour for me. This is why when I first applied Truffle onto my skin, I thought I’d look a hot mess due to thinking that it’s too dark…but baby, once I blended it out…holy sh*t, Batman! It blended so well into my skin. Yes, I am a member of the contouring group… BUT I prefer a natural-looking contour. Next is the contour shade, which is Truffle. I can see applying this to only the dark areas on my face, setting it with powder and then moving right along (on days when I don’t want to wear foundation). Then I set it with the cult-fave, Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder in Translucent and it. I was sooooo pleased when I discovered this. ‘Even the shadowed area that I usually have issues with. Caramel would not be a highlight shade for me, but it is PERFECT to counteract my under-eye darkness. The concealer/highlight shade in this trio is Caramel. I went with Tan because I thought the shades would suit me better. There are four trios- Light, Medium, Tan, and Deep. …Then came the Match Stix Trio in Tan 300. I have worn Sand on my under-eye area, but I still had that “shadow peeking through” issue (you know…the part of the under-eye area that is close to the bridge of your nose), which is not uncommon for folks who suffer from under-eye darkness. ( Wheat can actually work as a foundation for my entire face.) Sand is described as a neutral shade, which is true…but I also find it to be more of a warm neutral. It is the perfect yellow-toned concealer. Wheat is a medium shade with warm undertones. I originally picked up the Matte Match Stix in the shade Wheat and later on the shade Sand. Now onto the “meat” of this post…which is my beloved Match Stixs. Who knows what mixture I’ll come up with in the future! But for now, it’s 290 + 330. ![]() As the weather gets even colder which means my skin will “lose” its color, I imagine that I will use less and less of 330 in the mixture. 290 is the olive I need, and 330 is the warm yellow I need. ![]() I figured out that it’s because 330 is a warm yellow shade vs 310, which is just warm (it’s also light in depth so 290 and 310 would’ve been a bit too light). I’ve tried mixing 290 with 310 and it was “meh”. ![]() I thought the 310 + 330 mixture was quite a decent match, and it still is…but 290 with the 330 matched so much more to my undertones. In my previous post, I thought that 290 just couldn’t work because of its depth…but all I had to do was add more of 330! □ Match Stix Trios were customized to make it easy when doing your makeup: There are three steps and they’re all in here.Since mixing foundations is pretty much a big part of my makeup life (I’ve come to terms with this), I did my usual experimenting by mixing the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r foundation shades, and…I’ve come to the conclusion that I am indeed a mixture of 290 + 330.
